The Group Services area of a Retail bank had developed a strategy based on Customer Service, Cost and Capability. To deliver this strategy Pentam established a Lean improvement programme by building senior sponsorship and completing three initial demonstration projects and then training a core group of permanent staff to progress further Lean implementations across the business.

The initial implementations delivered more than a £1m+ of net benefits in three months. This established the programme which went on to deliver further significant improvements in Customer Value through developing staff and supporting them in the used of Lean tools on a variety of financial services operations.
